The Salmon River is the longest free-flowing river in the lower 48 US. The Salmon river originates in the Sawtooth mountains near Stanley, Idaho, and carves a path North towards Salmon, Idaho, from whence it runs West through the Frank Church Wilderness area. Near Vinegar Creek, the area becomes designated as recreational and flows for 112 miles past the town of Riggins and follows a portion of Highway 95 towards White Bird, ID, where a 52-mile stretch called the Lower Salmon Gorge or the Canyons of the Salmon River begins and eventually merges with the Snake River near the end of Hell’s Canyon.
The Salmon River is known for its scenic beauty, abundant wildlife, and recreational opportunities such as whitewater rafting, sport fishing, camping, hiking, relaxing, etc.
Our passionate team of experienced guides and outdoor enthusiasts are dedicated to sharing their love of wild waters while ensuring your safety and creating unforgettable memories. Hi I’m Bobbi, an Idaho native with a passion for rafting any stretch of whitewater I can find. Whether I’m navigating rapids, casting a line, hiking through the hills on a hunt, cooking over coals, or tending my garden, I feel most at home in the outdoors. From riverbanks to backcountry trails, my dog Izzy is my constant companion through it all. Rooted in the wild beauty of Idaho, I live for the adventure and simplicity of life outside.
Hello! My name is Lilah, and I’m super enthusiastic about working on the Salmon River and living in Riggins this summer.
I’ve been enamored by the beauty and power of the outdoors for my whole life. I grew up in Telluride, CO, and the surrounding mountains and deserts shaped me into who I am today. I currently study Environmental Studies and Adventure Education at Prescott College in Prescott, AZ, with a concentration in Natural History Interpretation. I graduate in the Spring of 2026.
I love boating because it brings together elements of adventure, exploration, leadership, and synthesis of the natural world, all of which lead to a deeper understanding of not only the land, but also of ourselves, our relationships, and our position in the universe.
Aside from rafting, what brings me the most joy is live music; specifically the dead or some bluegrass, hangin out in beautiful places with beautiful people, and living a simple life of laughing and loving!!
My main goal this season is to have loads of fun, learn and teach a lot, and provide meaningful experiences to those who are looking.
Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you on the water this summer.
Cheers, Lilah
Hey! I’m Alan. I’m originally from Texas, but I go to school in Arizona where I’m double majoring in Adventure Education and Psychology. I got into river guiding after running the Animas and San Juan Rivers, and I immediately fell in love with it. Being on the water, reading rapids, and helping people push their limits in a fun and safe way just felt right. Whether it’s your first rafting trip or you’re a seasoned paddler, I’m here to make sure you have an unforgettable time. When I’m not guiding, I’m usually out hiking, photographing wildlife, or dreaming up my next big adventure.
Hello! My name is Finn, I’m born and raised in Boise, ID and I’ve been boating my whole life. I’m a student at Prescott College where I study adventure education. When I’m not working on the river, you might find me in my kayak, on my bike, or giving out free high fives. But you can bet your bottom dollar that I’ll ALWAYS be seshing and chilling. See you on the river WAHOOOO!
Hi my name is Jaden! I am from Denver Colorado. i am currently studying Adventure Education and Environmental Studies at Prescott College in Arizona. This is my second season guiding with Wild River and i am beyond stoked to be here!

Kamree is an Idaho native and has a deep love for everything outdoors; rafting, skiing, fishing, climbing… you name it. She is studying Business Management & Outdoor Recreation at Southern Utah University and is equally at home in the desert or the mountains. She also volunteers with our local Emergency Service to donate her skills as an EMT.
Hi I’m Julie! Adventure fuels my soul, whether I’m rafting wild rivers, backpacking through the backcountry, or just chillin with the homies. I’m driven by a deep love for travel and a curiosity for new cultures, people, and perspectives. I’m passionate about social justice, reimagining education systems, and creating outdoor spaces that are inclusive and accessible for everyone. The world’s too big and too beautiful to experience it alone or leave anyone behind.
Hi, my name is Howard Vanfleet, I’m a retired engineer. I worked for 35 years sitting in an office chair. When the opportunity arose to become a river guide I said to myself “Self, I’m retired and now I can do anything I want”. I love new adventures and I’m happy to add to the list, the newest adventure of being a white water river guide. I’ve fished many places and look forward to having some great fishing times on the Salmon. LET’S GO FISHING!
I’m Kellan Ray, and I’m out here on the river waiting for you! Ready to ditch the ordinary and dive headfirst into some serious fun? Because this water isn’t going to raft itself!
Come find me down by the rapids where the real magic happens. We’re going to paddle through some incredible scenery, navigate wild waters, and probably get soaked while having the time of our lives. Whether you’re brave or terrified (or both!), I promise you’ll leave with stories worth telling.
The river’s running perfect today, the sun’s shining, and all we need is YOU to complete this epic adventure. So what are you waiting for?
Come meet me on the river – let’s make this day unforgettable!
I’m Kiersten! I studied Art History, so now I’m a raft guide. I like sailing, ballet, and hitting baseballs at the batting cages. If I could be doing anything in the world right now, I’d be eating vegetables from peoples’ gardens like I’m Peter Rabbit.
